I came to Trauma relief night only because I wanted to reach out and reconnect with Mike and Bryn.  I didn’t really pay any attention to what the night was about, just that RLI was at Sozo Church in Loveland.  So I made the decision to go earlier in the week.

As 5:30 PM Friday approached, I had one of those screaming headaches.  I almost did not go.  But as I drove out there, the headache became much worse.  During worship, the headache went from an 8 down to a 1 or 2.  Several times I wanted to just leave.  But I decided to stick it out. As Bryn started walking us all through things, I noticed that my headache was pretty much gone.

I didn’t think I even had any physical issues as God has blessed me with excellent health over the years.  But as we went through the session, my upper back started to release tension.  This had been going on for several years, and I simply chalked it up to getting old.  So I never entered into prayer about it.  We all have trauma issues, I just thought I had dealt with mine. But my upper back is releasing. I stopped lifting weights because of the pain in that area. No more, though.  As of today, Sunday, my lower back is also releasing, and my sore hips, (I had always chalked sore hips up to bedding hot spots) are no longer sore. (faint and decreasing over the day).

So now I decided to actually read the handout and have studied it to the point of doing a deep dive into what Christ always meant when He referred to the “broken-hearted”.  Isaiah 61 always meant something to me, but I didn’t know exactly how it applies.  Now I do. (A little bit anyway.)

Thank you, Jesus, for my healing.  Thank you Bryn and Mike for RLI.
